Arise: "to come into being"

“The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do.
You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward.” – Amelia Earhart

Licensed Professional Counselor

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I have spent the last twenty-five years (much of that as a pastor) helping people understand the many ways pain and doubt influence our lives. It is a process of discovery. Everyone believes things that are not true. These beliefs may be about yourself, about how others think of you, or about how your world has become seemingly hostile toward you. First, we must discover what it is that you believe that isn’t true, and then pursue the freedom that truth provides.

I see counseling as a team oriented process where you and I work to create a trusting relationship in which we can identify and examine problem areas in your life; challenging attitudes and situations where you may be acting on misunderstanding and untruth. Together we will develop goals and action plans that systematically work to improve these problem areas in your life.

I advocate a holistic lifestyle that incorporates mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual components. My counseling philosophies are fundamentally based on Christian principles, but I will in no way pressure or require you to embrace my morals, values or religious beliefs.
